Due to bad weather over the last few days, the Poulaines Gardens and Arboretum will unfortunately be closed from 1 November.
We look forward to seeing you in April 2025 when the gardens reopen: we promise you some surprises!
The garden is open all year round and every day for groups
Marilou’s watercolors are installed in certain areas of the gardens to guide and inform visitors.
Trained in Graphic Arts at Penninghen and at the Beaux-Arts de Paris Marilou LAURE produced watercolors for Pierre Gagnaire, drawings of panthers for Cartier, posters for Fragonard, screen prints for Agnès b, illustrations for Flammarion…
L’Orangerie manufactures individual terracotta pots for gardens, terraces and balconies. Coming from the practice of a sculpture workshop, its pots are recognized for their contemporary line. Their natural textures and tones are suitable for all types of plants. Orangerie pots are present in many historic places in France (Royaumont Abbey, Angers Castle, Ronsard Priory in Tours, etc.).
Since 2023, AGIR36 has taken care of the maintenance of the linen in our accommodation. Ideas emerged for other partnerships with Domaine de Poulaines. We also discussed replacing plastic packaging for clean linen with fabric bags, for each accommodation.
Since last fall, the ESAT of Valençay-Levroux (ADPEP 36) has come to lend a hand to the Domaine’s gardeners, twice a month. We are proud and happy with this great partnership!
Thanks to ths help, the team has more time to work on developing the different areas of the Estate, including the vegetable garden for which we are imagining a new plan.
